The City Hall is not only the office of the City Council but is here, where every December 10th, on the anniversary of the death of the Swedish Inventor Alfred Nobel, The Nobel Prize Banquet is held.

The Royal family, the Nobel Laureates, and approximately 1.300 guests attend this private event organized by the Nobel Foundation.
